Cover reveal – Zarjaz 35 & Something Wicked 2019

Available tomorrow! Zarjaz 35 has a cover featuring Joe Pineapples – the coolest A.B.C. Warrior crafted by the one and only Jon Davis-Hunt.

I’ve been after a cover from Jon for a long time – since Cardiff 2012, I think so it gives me great pleasure to finally have this cover and I’m sure you’ll agree when you see it printed that this image doesn’t do it justice.

Also on sale tomorrow is the latest and greatest installment of Something Wicked! The 2019 issue features a superb cover by Will Pickering featuring a character from the lead strip – Sense Of Worth.

It is worth noting that originally Nigel Dobbyn was to provide the work for this cover, but his untimely passing meant that was not to be. Thanks to Will for stepping up at short notice to provide this cracking cover.

Lego Strontium Dog

It should come as no surprise to you that we here at FQP are massive Strontium Dog fans – but thanks to the 2000 AD message board – and in particular David Rees I am as pleased as punch to present for you my very own Lego Johnny Alpha!

After contacting David through the message board, he very kindly sent me the build elements I would need to use in order to begin creating the fig.

After sorting myself an account to actually purchase Lego online I was able to generate the orders for the shops to let me obtain the relevant part. I was well impressed that the whole set of parts was bought by using only two suppliers. So parts ordered and paid for I just needed to wait.

 

Within a week I had these two beauties waiting for me at home so I just needed to find some time.

Opening the packages I was presented with this glorious display of Lego. Which in no time at all (in reality about an hour) became…
