Following on from the sneak peek for ZARJAZ 12, I’m extremely proud to now present the finished cover for ZARJAZ 11.
As usual- click on the image for a larger version.
This issue is an all ABC Warriors special- so who better to provide the artwork than the Warriors current artist CLINT LANGLEY. Clint was a pleasure to deal with, and I’m sure you’ll all agree with me that this would not look out of place on the cover of 2000 AD proper.
Thanks go to Mike Carroll for the special logo, and for the ‘Warrior Select’ graphic- Cheers.
ZARJAZ 11 will go on sale in March and feature the artistic talents of Bolt-01, Chris Askham, Conor Boyle, Gibson Quarter, Dunk! Nimmo, Nick Dyer, Matt Soffe and Kev Levell.
SPREAD THE WORD!
The ever so talented Alex Ronald has posted a snippet of his astounding cover to Zarjaz 12 over on his blog. This issue is due to go on sale in July 2011, so it might be a little while before I post the full image! Huge thanks to Alex- and I would love to see this droid reconditioned and let loose on Dredd once again.
We don’t really do superheroes at FQP, well, not in the traditional sense. With that in mind- I’d like to introduce SUSPENSION-X, written by Shaun Avery, and with art by Jim Lavery. Coming soon to FutureQuake. Remember- we don’t really do superheroes…
Issue 7 of Wasted magazine sees the début of a new strip by Alex Ronald and mysterious Emperor: Vampire Vixens of the Wehrmacht.
Yes, the title tells you pretty much everything you want to know about the story! You’ve got Nazis, and you got sexy ladies- run with it!
We’ve read the first part of the story, and it is wonderful fun. It is bursting with ideas and cracking dialogue. This episode crams a lot of back story into a relatively short number of pages, and it does it very well- with a number of sometimes hilarious celebrity cameos along the way (one of which had me laughing out loud – or LOLing as I believe the young call it).
But that artwork… ohhhh the artwork. Without seeming to descend into hyperbole, this is some of the best comic art that I have ever seen.
So, if your an adult- and like your humour ‘robust’- get thee to your comic shop for a copy of Wasted #7! On sale February 5th.
And while we’re here…
This is a very nice picture, isn’t it?
Well- you’re in luck, because it can be yours!
Artist Alex Ronald has very sexy A3 posters available for a mere £6 of your Earth money- including postage (in the UK… hey- there is a war on!).

Planet 18-30 is by John short and alex Paterson. This is their first strip for FQP, but I don’t think it will be the last.
