Team FQP (Bolt-01) will be at LawgIVer this weekend, but dows not have a table. If anyone was planning on collecting copies of Zarjaz or Dogbreath at the gig, please get in touch and we can make sure copies are brought.
Team FQP also produced the programme for the event, as well as a special download available on the day.
The programme contains reprints of two ‘out of print’ Judge Dredd tales from the pages of Zarjaz, as well sketch pages and ads from some of those there on the day.
All of this within a brand new cover by Mike Collins-
Please note this issue of Zarjaz is not going to be available for purchase. It is produced purely for the LawgIVer event. If anyone out there would like a copy- get in touch and I will do my best to sort you out.
See you there!
The new titles featured as part of the FP Blogs ‘Stuff (& Possibly nonsense) last week. Thanks to Richard at FP for the plug.
A big thanks to John over at Down the Tubes for his post about the new FutureQuake- always the first place I go to look at the days news!
And that’s all for now!
Today we present a slice of opinion from Adam Breen-
Original piece- Darby Pops Off
Excerpt:
“People often ask me to name the first comic book I read. And my answer is always the same: ‘I don’t know.’ I honestly can’t remember. But, there was one title that left a big impression on me in my younger days. And not for the reasons you might imagine.
It was the early ‘90s, and the invasion of Ireland by American culture was in full swing. You couldn’t move for Ninja Turtles, Street Fighter, and Nickelodeon’s slime. In other words, I was in my element. So, understandably, I was beyond excited to get my hands on some big, brash American comic books. One of the first was Superman #82 – Reign of the Supermen “Back for Good!” It was a variant edition holofoil cover – a quintessentially ‘90s product. After admiring the cover for an age, I finally threw the cover open only to be greeted with a warning,
“DO NOT READ UNTIL YOU HAVE READ GREEN LANTERN #46’’
Wait… what?!?”
